About Grovespring Farm
Grovespring is a Recognized Riding Academy with the United States Hunter Jumper Association. Its certified trainers love horses and care about teaching people to communicate well with them. The school horses are also experienced, safe teachers.
The Camp at Grovespring Farm is an extension of the riding school where children aged 5-15 gain experience with ponies. Our goal is to create a safe and fun environment. In camp, we play games on horseback, ride bareback, and explore miles of trails.
The ride out at Grovespring offers the opportunity to improve strength and balance over uneven terrain while enjoying nature—crossing creeks, learning what to do during deer encounters, observing great blue herons, osprey, and bald eagles on the pond.
We take students riding to hounds from September to March, as well as to local shows and some rated shows from April to September.

Susan Deal has created a unique environment at Grovespring Farm with safe and happy horses/ponies and where kids and adults learn something new every day about riding, horses and themselves. Susan's ability to quickly identify riders' needs, her positive teaching style, and the skill of matching riders and horses are just a few of her strengths. The atmosphere is fun, unpretentious, drama-free and fosters comaraderie among the students. Come check it out!
